What materials are used?

Silk-Coated Paper

Presentation folders are printed on silk-coated paper, which has a smooth surface with a subtle sheen. This stock supports clear text, sharp images and strong colour reproduction. The surface can be written on with a ballpoint pen, although results may vary depending on the finish selected.

What lamination options are available?

Lamination can enhance the appearance of your presentation folders and provide an additional protective layer.

  • No Lamination: Leaves the paper unsealed, with no laminate coating.

  • Matt Lamination: 27-micron BOPP thermal lamination film for a smooth, low-sheen finish.

  • Gloss Lamination: 25-micron BOPP thermal lamination film for a shiny finish that enhances colour.

  • Velvet Lamination: 32-micron BOPP soft-touch thermal lamination film for a smooth, tactile finish.

Lamination availability depends on the stock and product configuration. It can be applied to compatible stocks above 250gsm and is not available on uncoated stocks.

What embellishment options are available?

Selected presentation folders can be enhanced with additional finishing options.

  • None: No additional embellishment.

  • Spot UV: A UV-cured varnish applied to selected areas of the artwork to create contrast and highlight specific design elements.

  • Foil: A metallic finish applied using hot-stamped 12-micron polyester foil.

Please note: Spot UV and foil embellishments are only available on laminated print. Availability depends on the folder style and selected finish.

How are presentation folders assembled?

Assembly depends on the folder style selected. Glued folders use a glued construction, while interlocking folders use tabs designed to slot together.

Follow the product's assembly guidance when preparing folders for use, and avoid forcing tabs or overfilling the folder, as this may damage the construction.

How should I prepare my artwork?

For the best print results:

  • Use the correct artwork template for your chosen folder style and size.

  • Set up your design to match the template dimensions.

  • Use high-resolution artwork for clear text and images.

  • Keep important text and design elements within the recommended safe area.

  • Check that artwork aligns correctly with the folder panels, folds, tabs and spine.

  • If choosing Spot UV or foil, prepare the additional artwork layers according to the product's finishing instructions.

  • Review your proof carefully before approving it for print.

Pay particular attention to the placement of text and graphics around folds and interlocking tabs.

How should I care for my presentation folders?

To maintain the quality and appearance of your folders:

  • Store in a cool, dry place to help prevent fading or warping.

  • Keep away from moisture to avoid damage.

  • Stack flat to prevent creases and bent corners.

  • Handle carefully to avoid crumpling or damaging the edges.

  • Avoid overfilling to maintain the folder's shape and durability.

  • Recycle responsibly when the folders are no longer needed.

Are presentation folders recyclable?

The paper used for presentation folders is FSC®-certified. Recycling options depend on the finish selected.

Unlaminated folders may be easier to recycle through paper recycling streams, while lamination and embellishments such as foil or Spot UV may affect recyclability. Check with your local recycling facility for guidance before disposal.
