Care Instructions
To maintain the quality and appearance of your business stationery:
Storage: Store stationery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity, to help prevent fading, moisture damage and warping.
Handling: Handle printed materials with clean, dry hands to avoid transferring dirt, oils or moisture onto the surface.
Stacking: Store stationery flat where possible to help prevent creases, bent corners and unwanted marks.
Writing: If you need to handwrite on your stationery, choose an appropriate uncoated stock or another surface specifically identified as writable. Laminated finishes may not be suitable for everyday handwriting.
Printing: If you intend to use letterheads in an office printer, check the product specifications for compatibility. instantprint's letterheads are available on uncoated stocks suitable for inkjet printing.
Recycling: Recycle unwanted stationery where local facilities accept it. Lamination, metallic foils and other embellishments can affect recyclability, so check local guidance before disposal.

Finishing Options
Finishing options vary by product and paper stock. Where available, they can help improve the appearance and presentation of your business stationery.
Important: Not every finish is available on every stationery product. Lamination and embellishment options depend on the selected paper stock, weight and product configuration. Check the product page for the combinations available before preparing your artwork.
Printing and Artwork
Preparing your artwork correctly helps ensure your business stationery prints as intended.
Follow these guidelines before uploading your design:
Set the document size: Create your artwork at the finished dimensions of the product you have selected.
Add bleed: Extend your artwork by 3mm beyond each edge of the finished document to allow for trimming.
Keep important content within the safety area: Keep essential text, logos and other important design elements at least 6mm away from the edge of the canvas.
Use CMYK colour mode: instantprint prints using the CMYK colour spectrum. Colours may appear different when compared with artwork displayed in RGB on a screen.
Check your selected finish: If you have chosen an embellishment such as spot UV or foil, follow the relevant artwork template and finishing guidance.
Review your artwork: Check spelling, contact details, image quality and layout before submitting your files.
Sustainability and Recycling
instantprint uses paper sourced from FSC®-certified suppliers, supporting responsible forest management. FSC Mix and FSC Recycled paper options are available across its print range, although specific choices depend on the product.
Paper-only stationery may be recyclable through local paper recycling services. However, lamination, foil and other embellishments can affect whether an item can be recycled through standard facilities.
Check your local recycling guidance for the most appropriate disposal method, particularly for stationery with specialist finishes.
Choosing Your Business Stationery
The best stationery option depends on how you intend to use it.
Letterheads: Choose uncoated paper for professional correspondence, invoices and documents that may need to be printed or written on.
Compliment slips: Uncoated stocks are ideal for handwritten notes, customer messages and packaging inserts.
Business cards: Choose a heavier card stock for a substantial feel, with selected lamination and embellishment options for a more distinctive finish.
Correspondence cards: A6 cards printed on uncoated stock are suitable for handwritten messages, thank-you notes and personal business communications.
Bookmarks: A useful option for branded giveaways, events and promotional campaigns. Check the product page for available sizes and finishes.
