Yes, you can! If you've already got artwork for a flyer, there's no reason you can't scale it up to poster size. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make sure it looks just as good (if not better!) when it's bigger.
1. Check your file resolution
To get a clear, crisp poster, your artwork needs to be high resolution, ideally 300dpi. If your file’s too low-res, it might look blurry or pixelated when printed at a larger size. A quick way to check is to zoom in on your design: if it looks sharp on screen, you're probably good to go.
2. Think about how the design will scale
What works on a small flyer might not always translate perfectly to a large poster. Text might need to be resized, and images might need repositioning to keep everything easy to read and visually balanced. Less can be more when it comes to posters, they need to grab attention quickly!
3. Stick with ‘A’ sizes if you can
If your flyer is A4, scaling it up to A3 or A2 is usually straightforward, as long as your resolution is high enough. Trying to scale something like a business card to poster size? That’s a bit trickier, as the proportions are totally different.
Good news: our proofing tool will automatically check and resize your artwork to fit the product you’re ordering – so you’ll get a heads-up if something’s not quite right.
